Really fabulous fixins' for sure! I am still working through all this goodness because I found that I was constantly inspired to incorporate that which I have been hoarding away in my own stash. Maybe it's due to the fact that the boys are three now and I am worn out most of the time, but I am gravitating toward jewelry that is simple, easy and comfortable. So the first thing I made was a looong pull over the head necklace that feels fun and "big girl" at the same time. I love the blue agate beads that Terri sent and I think that ended up being a starting place for me.
(Oops didn't mean to show off the knot.). I also did a bracelet using the beautiful heart focal by Gaea and the sweet little kitty bead that Terri sent in memory of our little sweetheart that went to heaven a few months ago. This is a fun bracelet to wear too and I like having the big chunky heart dangling.
I have earrings started using the lovely Gaea rounds and some turquoise nuggets. And a necklace started using the turquoise nuggets and that awesome bird bead. At the moment though I am flat on my back-not quite sure what I did to annoy it so badly. The boys are taking advantage of it though and I can only imagine what the other room looks like.
Make sure you check out Terri's blog to see what she whipped up! Thanks for stopping by. And thank you Lori Anderson for hosting yet another most fabulous event!
I really like the necklace design!
ReplyDeleteWow! Someone has been cooking! Love the bracelet you did with the G.G. kitty bead and the Gaea heart....it's adorbs and has a deep meaning for you. I may do something similar to commemorate my kitty. The stretchy bracelets are fun and colorful. As a fan of long necklaces I adore your long necklace top to bottom and all the element you used!! It was such a treat being your bead soup partner.. Sorry to hear your back is out of whack! Wishing you a speedy recovery! Hope you will be able to enjoy the party!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri G.
What a great necklace! I tend to favor the long necklaces because I hate having to deal with clasps all the time.
ReplyDeleteLovely cooking, Tari! I love loooooong necklaces, your creation is beautiful! And the heart bracelet, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. The necklace and the chunky bracelet are my favorites. The necklace, especially. Did I mention I really love that necklace?
ReplyDeleteWell I love stretchy bracelets, anything you can pull on and off easily is always a good thing. They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely work - what an energetic young man you have!
ReplyDeletesimple is good, but they sure look fantastic! love that necklace...I'm getting into the long ones lately. and your boys....I know all about little boys...my three are all grown up now, but I've been in your shoes...and I loved it! Happy Mom's Day!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun necklace you made. I am partial to necklaces that just go over your head. The stretch bracelets are so colorful. Love the heart bracelet. Amazed you have time to make anything with 3 year old boys.
ReplyDeleteLove your loooong necklace - I love to wear them w/o clasps :) I hear you with the stretch bracelets, that's one reason I don't make bracelets too much: I hate to use any type of closure (as they never stay properly on my hand). Happy Mother's Day, it seems you have your hands quite full :)
ReplyDeleteThe long necklace is just so beautiful and the heart bracelet is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your pieces, the long necklace is gorgeous, and the stacked bracelets are so cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in that first piece and sure do like that bracelet with the little heart!
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you on the simple (as in easy to wear) jewellery when you have little kids! Anyway, I think you've nailed it with the pieces you've made, love the long necklace, love the bracelets (especially the heart one).
ReplyDeleteSimple works! And, you really rocked it too. I do love me some long necklaces, and more than that, I really like the focal you put on yours. The double circles are really nice. Your stretchy bracelets are great and have such a fun chunkiness to them. They definitely work out so well stacked together too. Great job! Here's hoping the boys didn't make too much of a mess and that you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThe necklace-bracelet set is absolutely stunning, the necklace in particular eing so long but so amazingly made
ReplyDeletegreat pieces, especially the bracelets, congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love those layered bracelets! And the necklace rocks! I love your work, thank you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I understand the angst of what blog platform to use -- I'm always in fear of losing my Blogger account by some internal oops.
Beautiful colors in your necklace! And yes, simplicity is a great thing, just like your bracelets.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you were feeling inspired to delve into your stash, Tari :) The results are just wonderful! Now try to give your poor back a decent rest :(
ReplyDeleteThose quick bracelets are so bright & inviting.
ReplyDeleteLove the long necklace. The different colours and shapes are going togheter so well. It's my favourite.
ReplyDeleteLove your quartet of bright coloured bracelets. Hope your back is better soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Tari, Your necklace is great. The colors are right up my alley. Good job on the bracelets too. They stack well together. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove everything you made. I really like that long necklace - simple and easy to wear is a good thing. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your creations.....beautiful colours, simple designs and so pretty and easy to wear. I wanted to make elastic bracelets but somehow didn't think they were good enough in this talented company. I see I was wrong because yours are great and I will stop letting my preconceptions get in the way. If it works, it works , no matter what technique is used. It's all about the finished creations and you did a lovely job. Elasticised bracelets are so practical and comfortable too.Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI loved your first necklace - the colors are just a.maz.ing! You did such a wonderful job mixing the colors and soup to make a beautiful piece!
ReplyDeletethose boys! It must have been too quiet, huh? ;)
