Oh yaaaayyyy me! I actually finished an Art Bead Scene Challenge piece this month-and early too!!! I love love love love all the color in January's painting "Black Peacock With Japanese Persimmons." (Again, I would have posted the picture of here, but I can't figure out how to insert more than one photo. Why did blogger change?) Was anybody else drawn to the textured lush ivory/vanilla swirl background? I have a lovely round ceramic bead from NKP Beads - who is having a fifty percent off sale so check it out, an earthy ivory and charcoal lampwork bead from Gardanne Beads, and a fabulous ceramic connector that I have been hording, and I think is a Lisa Peters, but I can't find the invoice and I just don't remember. Let me know if you recognize it and I am wrong, so I can give proper credit!

Your bracelet is gorgous!!! I love all the wonderful colors and the variety of beads you used.
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals this year was to make piece for ongoing challenges such as ABS, but already I'm finding it difficult to keep up with everything. I know I still have some time left, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm sorry you are having trouble with Blogger. I was drafting a post this morning and had to use the html tab to add photos, then jump to the compose tab to do any editing, It let me do several photos but I kept getting an error when saving. I scheduled the post for later in the week and hope it works!
Gorgeous bracelet...love every single bead you have used! Perfect for the challenge, too! Yes...blogger and google are having issues. The onky way I can get photos to upload is the method above, described by Alice. Truly a pain!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! A lovely palely loitering bracelet just waiting for that perfect arm (not mine, unfortunately...)
ReplyDeleteBlogger drives me nuts, adding photos is such a giant pain in the butt...
I recommend you try Windows 'Live Writer', a free program (some people have even found it on their computer and didn't realize it was there).
You compose your entire post in Live Writer, migrate it to your blog (where it looks all mangled, but if you check the preview you will see it all there exactly as you composed it..) and then publish it.
Adding photos is incredibly easy and they can be placed side by side and it is also very easy to adjust their size. I even did a blog post about it,see here:

It makes blogging so much easier - do try it!
this is so lovely. I love the colors and I really enjoy how every artists sees so many things in one painting one of the most fun parts of the challenge I think. happy creating, Kim at www.Kimisjewelryandgifts.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteA stunning piece. That focal bead is really a beauty and your selection of beads to complete the bracelet realy work. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI like the subtlety of the palette your chose! Simple and fun!
