Well of course she just never trusts herself. I messed around with different patterns, tried to make my own. Really tried to simplify the shape. (This shape is good for owls too!) But couldn't get the tiny little puckers to not appear. Mr. Pearl and Pebble, inspite of not being crazy about stuffed stuff, seemed to think the puckers were normal. I deemed the whole thing silly and moved on to other things. They have been sitting in the closet for over a year now. When the construction end of it didn't pan out, I thought, well hey at least you have some fodder for an illustration. OK. So I did that.
Of course as I'm doing it - I love it and of course then I have to run out and buy acrylic inks and what not. AFTER IT'S DONE it's another story. "Oh it's just silly." (I can't figure out why I do this?) So I looked at it again today and it's really kind of fun. I don't know. Do you think like this? I can't figure myself out sometimes. It must have something to do with my self diagnosed ADD. My solution seems to be to buy more beads.
I love it! It would be great at Little Monsters! Are you sure you don't want to sell the frogs on etsy? Bring them to the next meeting so we can see them in person.
ReplyDeleteTari, I love your little bean bag frogs! I would buy one of those just for the sheer quirkiness of have a frog in beautiful fabric. Your illustration is fantstic too. Prints? Oh the possibilities are there.

ReplyDeleteI'm with LeAnn. I would buy your frogs. I know my kids would LOVE them. Especially since they would remind them of Cliff. You will meet Cliff tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteCute girl, cute. And I know how you feel..."What? You opened a jewelry store on Etsy? Oh, so did I?!!" (I should start a Facebook fan page. I'd have like a million fans.)
ReplyDeleteI think the frogs are great...the story makes them even better! Your picture just makes me smile!!! No doubts!!! Plus, I'm a cardcarrying member of the JSOE (jewelry store on etsy) club. haaaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm typing I'm still laughing my a.. off! Those are so funny and cool! And you're not the only one who tries to sell jewelry online and doesn't know why she does some things. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's GREAT!!! I'm one of those self-diagnosed ADD's and I've made it work for me! LOVE the frogs and LOVE the bean bags! You should try listing them 1 day at a time so that the idea is out there for long enough to get to various audieneces! I think the painting is LOTS of fun!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to see someone else who's suffering from adult ADHD. (But in a good way!) The little bean bags are adorable and the painting is whimsical and beautiful, too. You should definitely list them. How could people resist those colors and the sheer fun of the whole idea? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late here...but your frogs are great...love both them and the painting!!! You might be on to something :0)
ReplyDeleteI think we all shake our head on occasion and wonder "where did that come from" I know I sure do!!!!!
Cheers
